Migrated to WordPress

This morning I migrated my weblog to WordPress. I was able to import all of my old posts too. So now I need to do a bit of house cleaning and organization. Am looking forward to playing around with the many plug-ins and other tools that hook into the WordPress environment.

As for the Lewis Elementary websites, they will be run on Drupal. With multiple users and authors, I felt the design of the school websites require a content management system.

Welcome to the WordPress family, Tim.

I’ve been using the WP package for more than three years and I’m still discovering neat features and new plug-ins.

This summer I’ve been playing with converting my other sites to WP, using it as a content management system rather than just a blogging engine. It’s not as powerful as Drupal (or Joomla, the system I’ve been experimenting with at work) but still seems to be more than capable for what I need.
