I've just been experimenting with MoinMoin Desktop - which I've an idea is also available for the Mac. 
I've not really done anything with it yet, but I have got as far as putting it on a USB stick - along with OpenOffice, Firefox 2.0 &#38; the Zotero extension - to provide a sort of prototype "Student on a Stick". However, like many students, it's still in a "resting" stage!</description>
